Hi, I am searching for my ancestors, their last names are Fechner and Rudolph. They were from Romania and Odessa.

There is a birth record for a Johann FECHNER born in Neu Toulcha in the Trinity Lutheran Church records in Winnipeg Manitoba:

I am very familiar with the Winnipeg Trinity Lutheran records and my experience is that families would bring children born in Russia to the pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church and he would record their birth in Winnipeg. This was done to formally record a birth that had been done in Russia earlier. Parents some times did not have access to a pastor in the remote towns where they lived.

Could this been a connection? If not can you give us more information about what you do know about your Fechner and Rudolph families?
