Hello! I'm looking for the origin of a Wilhelm BRAFFMANN. The surname was probably butchered, I don't know the original. Wilhelm Braffmann, born ca. 1863 in Romenia, protestant, was son of Ernest Braffmann and Albertine geb. Dervisch (?). He married in Palmeira, Paraná state, Brazil, a Clara Mayer (who was a Volga German from Graf colony). I coulnd't find anything much similar to Braffmann as a last name. Does anyone have any idea of how migh be the original or a possible village of origin? |
